I worked as an accountant holding my CPA designation in the insurance industry for 15 years prior to obtaining my real estate license. I realized while working in an office setting what I enjoyed most was interacting with people and getting to know them. I have also always enjoyed real estate, and often thought about what life would be like as a Realtor. In 2016 I took the plunge, earned my real estate license and have never looked back! I enjoy building relationships with my clients and helping them achieve their dreams of home ownership, whether that is buying their first home, dream home, or right sizing.

I am very learning and education focused; taking advantage of the continuing education offered for Realtors is a high priority so I can better serve my clients. Since joining the real estate industry I have obtained my ABR (Accredited Buyer’s Representative) designation, MCNE (Master Certified Negotiation Expert) designation, GRI (Graduate, REALTOR® Institute) designation and most recently have been licensed as a Broker. I use my knowledge to make sure the process of selling a home or buying a home for my clients is simple!

I work so not only my dogs, but as many as I can help, can have a better life! I served as a member of the Board, Executive Committee, and Adoptions Team Lead for Doberman Rescue Minnesota. DRM is an all volunteer based 501(c)(3) charitable organization whose mission is to provide public education and other organized rescue programs that promote responsible pet ownership and protect the Doberman breed. Many weekends if I’m not helping my clients I’m helping transport Dobie dogs from shelters in the surrounding states to our foster homes in Minnesota. I have been in the Des Moines area since 2000 and have been married to my wonderful husband Dru since 2007. I have one step-daughter, an alumni of Oklahoma State (Go Pokes!).  Whenever possible I enjoy wake surfing on local Iowa lakes and shooting skeet.
