First licensed in 2001, Andy recently made the move to Fathom Realty after a very successful 3-year term as buyer's agent for The Ed & Terri Smith Team at RE/MAX Coastal Properties. The author of several books on the topic, Andy is a veteran real estate agent with well over a decade of experience helping buyers and sellers successfully exceed their goals. His casual style and laid-back demeanor are a great match for the Destin lifestyle and an excellent compliment to his midwestern worth ethic. While some guess that Andy has been a lifetime resident of the Florida Panhandle, he actually got his start selling real estate in Michigan in the year 2001. Andy and his family were investing in the 30a area around the turn of the millennium and Andy got so excited about it, he decided to make Destin the new family home in 2003. It’s a choice he has never regretted. Areas of real estate expertise include residential, investment, vacation rentals, second homes, luxury homes, and condos. Andy also handles the small-scale commercial real estate. When he’s not working, you will usually find him on or near the water. He is an avid fisherman, surfer, moviegoer, writer, and reader. He loves Jesus, redeeming the land, helping people find financial freedom, and spending time with his 5 great kids playing ukuleles, riding bikes, and catching waves. Andy has pursued a variety of interesting livelihoods over the last 30 years including time with The Walt Disney Corporation, The National Cheerleaders Association, with multiple sales organizations. He is also the founder and CEO of The Gardener Group. All these and more have contributed to his success in the real estate field. He’s worked on fishing boats, and even run a surf school in Hawaii for a while, but his real business passion and his true area of expertise has always been real estate… as you will see in his books, he loves to share what he’s learned with others.
