About Kristen Heitman

Hello, I am Kris Heitman, founder of the Heron’s Group, and your local Realtor in the northern Virginia region. I began my career in 2011 after relocating to the area with my husband of 34 years. He’s a retired veteran who moved to Fredericksburg to begin a second career as a government contractor. We have had the journey of a lifetime in our 34 years together. Not only have we raised 3 beautiful children, we've also had the joy and honor of seeing those children grow their own families and now have 9 amazing grandchildren that bless our lives. Number 10 will arrive this year! Being a military family and seeing the world together brought us some magnificent and life changing experiences; from sailing the Atlantic to diving the reefs off the shores of the Bahamas and Cuba. However, with military life comes frequent relocations, and after moving 14 times in 20 years I recognized there was often something missing in my real estate transactions. I knew that I had something of value to add to the home buying and selling experience; treating you as I wanted to be treated. I set out to change the world as I knew it by giving my clients the exemplary service I felt they deserved. 

I am an accredited buyers representative, sellers representative specialist, a property manager and local real estate investor. Having walked in your shoes, I understand the sometimes challenging environment that comes with real estate transactions. I have the skill set to assist and guide your journey to a rewarding and successful culmination and it is in this process that I found my true passion. My business has grown over the years but one thing remains constant, my dedication, integrity and heart. You the client are my why, watching you as you turn the key for the first time in the door of your new home, or close the door for the last time as you move on to your new endeavor, both days filled with joy. Knowing that together we achieved the goal and did so with grace and honor is what inspired me to become a Realtor and what I promise to every client that walks through my door. 

In 2020 I formed The Heron’s Group to provide excellent service to my clients. While I know the past couple of years have provided many challenges, we have been able to adjust with the market, allowing us to continue to provide the same level of client support.   I say this to say that we are here fighting as your advocate even during the most difficult times and making sure that your dreams are not put on hold. As we step into 2023, we at the Heron’s Group are continuing to position ourselves as your community experts.
